News » Atlas Kasbah co-organized the International Conference on Tourism & Climate (June 2012)

Hosted by the Moroccan Ministry of Tourism, the Rural Tourism Network of Southern Morocco (RDTR), Agadir University and the Atlas Kasbah Ecolodge organized an international conference forum in Agadir in June 2012 : “Tourism and climate change in Morocco and the Mediterranean Region: Local solutions for our global challenge”.

This Conference-forum was based on a desire to develop local solutions to the fundamental issues associated with climate change. The objectives of this conference forum were to generate greater understanding, encourage exchange and ‘move-to-action” because the tourism industry must continue to develop a sustainable development approach, particularly in vulnerable regions such as the Mediterranean Basin and the Kingdom of Morocco.
